Oxted, The George

Tuesday 22nd November
The George, Oxted

Walkers: Farty, TB, Wendy No-hills, and 8 legs
Distance: 7 miles
Find of the walk: child's toy*

We headed north up towards the Downs, chatting to a lovely old lady collecting mushrooms (Wood Blewits)
Gates at Barrow green Court
Onward and we passed a high security estate which turned out to be Al Fayed's. TB has a penchant for taking 'bizarre' pics according to the security guard who popped out to see what this anorak was doing!

Al Fayed loses oil stake!
Up and over the motorway and up steeply to the top of the Downs. There was no view much as there was a shroud of mist. On to Woldingham School still going north to Marden Park Farm and found object*. Crossed railway line, turned south and made way back through Great Church Wood down the slope (knees, knees!) and back over motorway to pub.
